The perfect 100

After splitting our time recently between New York and Shanghai, one thing that repeatedly is on our minds is the exchange rate between the US Dollar (USD) and the Chinese Yuan (CNY). Going back and forth, there always seems to more left in your pockets of the currency where you just came from, rather than the one appropriate for your current location.
So it makes you wonder how nice it would be to have a single currency that would function in both locations. That kind of currency would need to be some sort of mix between USD and CNY. So we decided to do exactly that, mix the currencies. Using software we are developing for another project, we took a sequence of close-up images of $10 and ¥10 bills and let our software algorithmically combine the images. Some of the output below. We can only dream of this perfect $/¥ 10 bill.
